About Me
My name is Layton Grier and I grew up in Newport News, Virginia. I attended Hollins College and then moved to Richmond, Virginia where I have lived for 35 years.
Organizing has been an innate skill and passion of mine since I was a little girl, when I would ask my mom if I could clean out the garage for fun. I’ve been creating tidy spaces for family and friends for as long as I can remember and just in the last few years I’ve pursued making this passion of mine a small business.
I have just retired after 32 years of being an elementary school counselor, which I feel gives me a supportive and compassionate approach to helping people with the challenging task of decluttering items that clients can have an emotional attachment to.
I’ve also been a yoga teacher for 17 years and have been told I have a very peaceful and gentle disposition. I love bringing order and function into chaos and making spaces aesthetically appealing. People tell me when they walk into my home, they feel a sense of serenity and calm. I want to be able to establish that for others so when they walk into their own home, they are happy to be there and feel relaxed.
